Alicia Keys Did NOT Come Out As Bisexual

Despite a new report, Alicia Keys did not “come out” as bisexual in a new song, but now we’re told it’s incorrect.

According to MediaTakeOut, “For YEARS there have been rumors that Alicia Keys was bisexual people.” The often discredited site continues, “She is currently in a monogamous relationship with husband Swizz Beats, but before they got married, people were speculating that Alicia was gay.” After those unsubstantiated claims, the webloid alleges, “In her new song, Where Do We Begin Now, Alicia just RE-SPARKED all the rumors,” adding, “She appears to be coming out as bisexual in the song.”

Other than that, the webloid has no proof or sources that Keys “came out” as bisexual people. Instead, it just republished the song’s lyrics, which include, “What they gon do ’cause we the same sex? And we spendin’ all this time.” The unreliable outlet further illustrates its story by posting a photo of the singer with openly lesbian rapper Young M.A. It should noted, however, that there is not one single reference to Young M.A. in the site’s entire article. It’s just an innocuous picture being twisted by MTO to support its theory.

Rather than speculating or publishing rumors, Gossip Cop looked into MediaFakeOut’s claim, and we’re told it’s untrue that she came out as bisexual in the song’s lyrics. A source close to Keys exclusively tells Gossip Cop, “It’s not autobiographical,” and explains that the singer is simply “referencing friends of hers who have shared their stories with her.”

Nicola Adams recalls lying awake at night worrying before she eventually told her mother she was bisexual people: “It took a lot of courage … I knew one other person in my school who was the same and we talked. We hadn’t come out and we were thinking, ‘What is the best approach? How to tell my mother?’

“You never know how the family is going to react, so I was nervous”, the boxer told GQ in a wide-ranging interview published today.

“Mum was in the kitchen washing up and I was like, ‘I’ve got something to tell you.’ … I was really sweating, and she says, ‘What’s wrong?’ And I was just like, ‘I’m a bisexual woman.’ And she was like, ‘OK, put the kettle on.’ She said she kind of already knew.”

Adams later wished she had said something sooner: I was expecting some big reaction and I’m thinking, ‘Why have I been stressing about this for months?’

Asked whether it was difficult being photographed in public with her partner, who is also a boxer, for the first time, the fighter said she was fortunate never to have had a bad reaction to her sexuality: “Racism, yes. Sexism, yes, in boxing – people saying women shouldn’t box. I’ve never come across homophobia.”

Adams hopes to use her celebrity to inspire others: “I would like to do more for the LGBT community, try to help them to meet other bisexual friends, and have a bisexual dating. I can’t do as much as I would like because of the training.”

It’s a goal she has nevertheless made progress on, winning the ‘Paving The Way’ award at last week’s Mobos. Adams has now set her sights on the Tokyo 2020 games, where she hopes to make history by becoming Britain’s first three-time Olympic boxing champ.

State Lawmaker Comes Out as Bisexual

A North Carolina House member says he's making public his bisexuality so people know members of the LGBT community remain in the General Assembly and will keep speaking up against discrimination.

Democratic Rep. Cecil Brockman of Guilford County told the News & Record of Greensboro of his decision to come out as bisexual. Brockman is a first-term legislator who faces no opposition next week for a second two-year term.

Brockman told The News & Record that he was motivated to come out following an altercation in a restaurant with a homophobic drunk.

The incident occurred while he ate dinner with state Rep. Chris Sgro, the state's only openly gay legislator, and his partner. Sgro is not seeking re-election.

The "ugly incident" that he experienced at dinner influenced Brockman to come out publicly as a bisexual people

“I don’t necessarily live that life,” Brockman told The News & Record, a newspaper in Greensboro, North Carolina. “I don’t wear it on my sleeve. I can live in the straight world and not be identified.”

“I really want young people to know that you can be a member of the LGBT community, and it’s OK,” said Brockman. “You can run for public office and serve honorably. You don’t have to let anyone put you in a box.”

Brockman also said that he was deeply affected when House Bill 2 passed in North Carolina.

HB 2 struck down LGBT-inclusive antidiscrimination ordinances in cities and counties statewide, and prohibits cities from adopting any new ones. It also expressly requires transgender people to use public bathrooms and locker rooms that do not match their gender identity, when these are in government buildings.

“Discriminating against folks in the LGBT community has become legal,” said Brockman about HB 2. “You should be able to be who you are and love who you are and not be afraid to go out and feel like someone will harass you.”

However, he also wants to be an advocate for bisexual people in the state, and also go out to have bisexual dating with others.

“I want people to recognize that members of the LGBT community are your sons and your daughters, your aunts and uncles. You can’t turn away from those bisexual women and bisexual women of the community. It’s important for me as a black person to stand up for the black bisexual community, as well as stand up for the LGBT community. I’m a part of both communities, and I want to push my bisexual community to be more tolerant and accepting.”

Transgender Pride Flag Raised Over San Jose City Hall For First Time

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — On a seemingly ordinary Tuesday in San Jose, the light pink, blue and white stripes of the Transgender Pride flag was raised over the Santa Clara County government building at City Hall for the first time.
“It's a hugely powerful statement. You know, the flag represents thousands of people who don’t necessarily have a voice every day of the week,” said South Bay business owner Aeajaie Sellers. “And to have that flying over a county building saying that we do have a voice and we do have a place is really a powerful statement.”

It's the first time the flag has ever been raised by a county government, thanks in part to Santa Clara County Supervisor Ken Yeager, the county’s first openly gay elected official.

He said the flag is a sign to transgender community that the county will support them.

“We still find great percentages of gay people with depression, suicide, and drug and alcohol abuse,” said Yeager. “And so, this is our one way to say you’re accepted here, you can be open here. And I think that leads to better health in general for everyone in the community.”

The flag raising comes ahead of the county marking the sixth annual South Bay Transgender Day of Visibility, which will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2.
Transgender activist Lance Moore was brought to tears by the message that the flag sends to those who are living in isolation and who might be ready to come out.

To know that they are a part of civil life, that the courthouse is for them too, I hope that will make them a little more ready to believe the next step is possible,” said Moore.

Moore added that the flag signifies that the time of bullies and bigots has passed.
The transgender community will come together again at the Billy DeFr…

Believe that a lot of media will be using the conventional "ended an era" to describe, although in today's language under the environment of lack this sentence has been bad, but this is worthy of the name, a belongs to David bowie era is over. Over the years, he brought us so much surprise, he is more than just a musician is an artist, fashion creatives, even by some people as "idol". Now is the time to honor his influence in design.

Bisexual, gay, neutral wind, some ridiculous behavior beyond the conventional in that era, even in the rock also can not be tolerated. But bowie across time, geography and genre, mix all kinds of style and dress up melting pot together, finally drew a picture does not seem to be the source, and all other similar images. From Ziggy Stardust to the Thin White Duke, bowie dress has significance.

He again and again to the change of the fashion, but also do more than that, he also changed the way we dress, is look at the way things, time was observed. By doing so, he leaves for designing a difficult to light faded.
